After months of playing down her engagement, Lady Gaga is finally ready to proudly flash a little bling. On Monday, according to “Page Six,” the singer pulled up to the Venice Film Festival ahead of the premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux with her fiancé and a fat diamond in tow. The couple were photographed kissing as they exited their car, and Gaga was seen repeatedly placing her left hand on her chest to showcase her new hardware. Her partner, Michael Polansky, for his part, seemed right at home in front of the paparazzi (he’s already made several high-profile appearances by Gaga’s side including Joe Biden’s 2021 inauguration and the Super Bowl). And though we’ve seen the “Poker Face” singer’s ring before, this is the first time we’ve gotten a proper look at it, and damn, that thing does not disappoint.
Following months of speculation about their involvement, Gaga slyly confirmed she and Polansky were engaged during the Paris Olympics in July. After dating for five years, a TikTok video from the Games showed Gaga greeting French prime minister Gabriel Attal at an Olympics swimming event and introducing Polansky as “my fiancé.” Aside from his public dalliances with Gaga, Polansky seems to be a somewhat private guy: According to his LinkedIn, he graduated from Harvard with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science in 2006 and is the co-founder of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy.
Not much else is publicly known about the 46-year-old, but so long as he lets his pop-star fiancée shine, he’ll stay in our good graces. And according to an anonymous source who spoke to People, he’s set on doing just that: Polansky is “excited and supportive of her career. He can’t stand being in the spotlight but lets her shine.”
