April, I’m sure the casing is for their protection, but I know what you mean when something changes. We really enjoyed Jelling.

Last time I was there, I think 2008, there was no casing around the stones. I understand the value of protection but it does seem to detract from their majesty to have them boxed in like that. :-(

But I do love this spot.
