Thanks Mike. I’m glad someone agrees! We loved the whole area around Mt. Kinabalu. It is gorgeous!

I liked this part best, “Instead we wanted to do the canopy walk…” That is EXACTLY what I would want to do! Good post :)

Jessica, Yes, we just didn’t plan this out perfectly this time. How long did you spend hiking the mountain?

Noel, It really was. I have to tell you, the absolute best part was getting drenched in a rainforest shower! Loved it!

All too often people rush past so many interesting things because they are concentrating on their destination rather than experiencing the journey.

My husband and I climbed Mt. Kinabalu in August. It’s not a walk in the park but definitely worth it – certainly recommend you give it a go next time. :) Thanks for showing the other things to do there.

Mary, After loving the hot springs in places like Japan, I was very disappointed in Poring. However, the locals were loving it!

Great photos! I was envisioning something completely different for hot springs too.

Casey, I’ve only heard good things about climbing the mountain. Should have done it! Oh well, there’s always a next time.

We would probably hike the mountain, but we love climbing. Haha though I don’t see the point if there isn’t a good view at the top. We had far too many hikes in Taiwan where it was so cloudy at the top that you couldn’t see anything! Made the burning thighs not so worth it.
