Our Son (first child) had just been born so we weren’t able to swim out to the castle but was able to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery, beach & crystal clear water! We were fortunate to stay a couple nights at one of the wonderful seaside hotel & restaurant establishments (very nice accommodations & back then were very affordable). Our evening meals were served outside overlooking the beautifully lit castle, the view mixed with the breezy salt air, delicious food & friendly atmosphere made the experience absolutely magical & I will never, ever forget it!! I love to tell our Son about that amazing trip was & how I wish he’d been old enough to fully experience the beautiful sites, atmosphere & the friendly, hospitable hosts. Thanks again!:)

I think the swim is a little longer than 200 meters, but it’s a pretty easy swim. And then you have this amazing place all to yourselves. I didn’t wear shoes, but my feet were pretty tough back then. A wave did knock me onto a sea urchin, but that did not really cause me any problem.
The combination of the wind and water on your skin, the sound of the waves, and the sense of history is awe-inspiring! It’s one of the best memories of my life.
