All that steak in bed may have actually sealed the deal for Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez — or at least, that’s what Gomez’s fans think. Earlier this month, the fried-pickle enthusiast posted a photo of herself in a bathroom with Blanco in the background, writing “a night out” in my favorite old-school cursive Instagram font. But fans were less interested in Selena’s mirror selfie than the curiously placed double-heart emoji that just so happens to obscure her ring finger. To make things even more cryptic, Gomez then posted a photo dump on main a few hours later: no caption, just a carousel of the couple cuddling, hugging, hugging some more, and ass-grabbing.
While nothing is confirmed yet — it really could just be a poor choice of emoji placement! — I should note that Blanco hinted at wanting kids and marriage not all that long ago. In May, the cookbook author went on The Howard Stern Show, where he quickly admitted, “I wanna have kids, that’s my next goal.” When the host asked if Blanco might soon consider proposing to his “very famous girlfriend,” Blanco laughed and said, “When I look at her, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.” Later in the interview, when Stern “predict[ed] marriage” for the celebrity couple, Blanco replied, “You and me both … I gotta get my act together.”
On Thursday, Gomez was papped by TMZ wearing a gold ring on her finger. The tabloid speculated that it might be an engagement ring, but it looks kind of like a wedding band, right? Or maybe she’s just wearing a gold ring on her ring finger; who’s to say! The outlet also pointed out that Gomez followed a wedding-planning agency on TikTok last week. Interesting. When you look at all of these incidents as a whole, it sure does seem like these two might be throwing a wedding soon.
At the very least, it’s not out of the realm of possibility, and Gomez has been social-media-happy about sharing her love for Blanco. Perhaps true love really does exist. Wouldn’t that be nice?
